Michael Szego, PhD (Molecular Genetics), MHSc (Bioethics) is the Director of the Centre for Clinical Ethics at Unity Health Toronto (St. Michael’s Hospital, St. Joseph’s Health Centre, and Providence Healthcare) and an Assistant Professor in the Dalla Lana School of Public Health and the Departments of Molecular Genetics and Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto. He is currently vice chair of the Unity Health Research Ethics Board and a member of the National DNA Databank Advisory Committee. His research interests include ethical issues associated with whole genome sequencing and the integration of ethics into clinical care.
